On November 24, 2024, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Social Work students proudly participated in the vibrant “Beyond Race & Cultural Show” held at Chater Road, Central. Organized by the HOPE Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities, the event celebrated racial harmony and cultural exchange, fostering connections between ethnic minority communities and locals.
HKBU students showcased their talents and community spirit in various roles. At the Chinese Calligraphy Booth, they introduced the art of calligraphy to a diverse audience, garnering great interest from non-Chinese participants who eagerly tried their hand at the intricate brush strokes. A mesmerizing Guzheng performance added a melodic touch to the afternoon, captivating attendees with the beauty of traditional Chinese music. Furthermore, students volunteered at pit stops, ensuring the smooth running of the event’s interactive activities, where participants from all backgrounds came together in joyful competition.
This event highlighted the beauty of cross-cultural interactions, where shared experiences and cultural appreciation flourished. HKBU Social Work students demonstrated their commitment to community engagement, leaving a lasting impression on this meaningful occasion.
